He is the holder of three Peggys from Popular Ceramic Magazines and two Judges
Awards from Ceramic World Magazine and has amassed numerous best of shows,
best in class, best original, best traditional and blue ribbons. He was a contributing
editor for Ceramic World and had front cover in 1979. Art has numerous books to his
credit including: Indian Carving, Southwest Indian Designs , Little Elk Teachings,
Southwest Pottery Designs and Instructions, Heeeeere's Mechi! and I Can't Take
It With Me (Native American Teachings).
