• Tara C. Sharma, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.I.C.S., Diplomat American Board of Urology, is a professor with the Division of
    Preventative and Integrative Medicine with the Department of Family and Community Health and professor of
    surgery with the Division of Urology at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.  

  • Dr. Sharma was born in India and received his M.D. from Panjab University College in Panjab India.

  • He came to the United States in 1963 and later to West Virginia in 1970 after completing his training at
    Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. and Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases in New
    York, N.Y.

  • Dr. Sharma is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow with the International College of
    Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.  

  • He is also board certified by the American Association of Integrative Medicine.  

  • Dr. Sharma is author of several published papers, book chapter and presented several lectures nationally and
    internationally.  

  • Dr. Sharma has served the Huntington community for many years and has recently started the Center For
    Excellence in Integrative Medicine which has been an area of interest for him for many years.  

  • Dr. Sharma is a strong supporter of the Marshall University School of Medicine.

Dr. Sharma is advisor on Complementary Medicine to
